My Project

My 9th-grade Earth Science and Biology students are some of the most curious and hardworking young scientists I’ve ever met. They ask big questions, think critically, and light up when they make real-world connections between what we’re learning and the world around them. Whether they’re tracking a carbon atom through Earth’s systems or analyzing genetic traits, they dive into every activity with enthusiasm and creativity. What I love most is how they support each other’s learning and take pride in their growth. Composition books are a key tool in our classroom—they become interactive science notebooks where students take notes, draw diagrams, and reflect on labs and activities.

These books help students stay organized and track their learning throughout the year.

Pencils may seem small, but they’re essential for jotting down ideas, sketching cell models, and solving scientific problems on the fly. Having a steady supply ensures everyone is always ready to learn.

Tape and glue sticks keep our interactive notebooks and group projects running smoothly. From constructing rock cycle foldable to assembling DNA models, these tools help make learning tactile and engaging.

A color printer in the classroom would be a game-changer. It would allow us to print detailed diagrams for labs, visuals for student projects, and classroom displays that make content more vibrant and accessible. It also gives students the chance to see their own work in full color, which builds pride and motivation.

These supplies may seem basic, but in our classroom, they are the building blocks of discovery. Your support helps us create a hands-on, visually rich, and empowering learning environment where all students can thrive.
