Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The first grade students in my classroom are fun, energetic, and witty! They are also diverse in ethnicity, economics, and academics. We are a Title I, dual-language school in a Seattle neighborhood. The students in my class, and within our school, speak a wide variety of languages including Spanish, Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Somali among others. However, one common denominator is that they all work hard and want more. They want more knowledge, they want more out of life, and they love to learn! In order to do that, they need the materials that can help them be successful and continue to want to be lifelong learners.
My Project
My students are bright and creative. It only fits to keep them prepared and well supplied within our first grade classroom.
My 1st graders need crayons, markers, colored pencils, disinfecting wipes and paper to use daily within the classroom.
Our classroom is filled with joy, creativity, and hard work. I never want any one of my students to feel like they do not have the materials and supplies necessary to be as creative and successful as they possibly can! Please help me give my students better access to quality material and supplies within our classroom. My first graders and I appreciate your support!
