My students walk in every morning with a smile and determination on their faces. They are eager to read, practice math skills, explore the world around them . They love dancing, fairies, football, riding bikes, playing on the playground and so much more! My students are bused in from different areas of Cincinnati. 100% of my school is on free or reduced breakfast and lunches.
My students stand up for what they believe is right.
They want to make a difference in their school, and communities. Despite their hardships, my students are bright, loving and eager to learn!
My Project
My classroom is currently running out of supplies necessary for everyday learning. Having dry erase markers, saves on paper and makes writing and math more interesting! Having the manuscript journal paper helps my students with their handwriting, we are still learning how to write neatly! Our take home folders have been doctored too many times and I fear they are no longer usable. Just having these simple resources is going to make all of the difference in our everyday lessons. I will not be scrambling to find the materials necessary to adequately teach a lesson. Plus, it is amazing how grateful my students are just to receive a new pencil and eraser (we don’t have many erasers and they are often frustrated by not being able to fix their mistakes). My students and I will be so excited to put these new materials to use.
