Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Over 80 percent of our students are English Language Learners, and all of the students receive free breakfast and lunch due to the socioeconomic statuses of the families. As a result, the school is a Title I funded school and the students would benefit from any additional resources that would enhance their educational experience. I need to keep all students motivated and excited to learn.

My Project

I am requesting basic materials that the students can used for both school and at home. In order for students to be successful in math, each and every one of the items are essential. Students need paper to write their notes on. The colored paper will allow the students to recall certain concepts as well as create different foldables that will enhance the retention of the skills learned. In addition, students can use highlighters and markers when recording notes.

Learning how to take notes and using highlighters is a skill that will help students throughout their entire academic career and beyond.

The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to provide additional learning experiences that students would otherwise miss out on due to it not being within the textbooks that are used by the district.
