My Project

Last school year, the 5th grade Wildcat Band was the first-ever band in our school's history. Within the first semester of this school year, we have been able to add 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to the band, perform in our Christmas concert, play for a school event, and provide our new 5th graders with instruments thanks to donations and the support of our community.

However, we still need supplies to continue our program as the successes mentioned above were hard fought!

In order for our program to continue and for our students to shine through making music together, we still need instruments and the supplies to maintain the quality our instruments. My students are hard working, musically talented, and bright. They are eager to learn more and play more music. They deserve the opportunity to continue in band and share their love of music, but this cannot happen without the right tools.

By providing my students with reeds, instrument repair items, mallets, and a snare drum, we will be closer to sustaining our new band. This will not only help to sustain the band we have now, but it will help grow the band for the students who are yet to join in the future! Band is something every student deserves to experience in their education, and we need these materials to help make it happen.
