Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My scholars are a wonderful group of 1st thru 4th graders. They are a part of a program that supports them in closing their learning gaps. They are eager to learn and enjoy the many resources available to them on the internet. We are in need of funds to purchase a classroom supplies to help them get ready for the STAAR test. We also need hands on supplies that will encourage engagement with math by using food as a learning tool. I work with scholars that have learning disabilities and need extra support to become more successful. Our Special Education department accounts for 12% of our student population and our school provides free breakfast and lunch to all scholars. I have a good rapport with my scholars and they know that I do everything I can for them. We work daily on improving our skills and having access to supplies would help close the learning gap.
My Project
We have many different supplies we are needing from basic cleaning supplies to fidgets, healthy snack, testing materials and electronic devices. The tablet 10 inch Android 8.1 Go,3G Unlocked Phablet with Dual sim Card Slots and Cameras,Tablet PC with WiFi,Bluetooth,GPS (10 inch Android 8.1, Black) and Fire 7 Tablet (7" display, 16 GB) will be used to access digital resources. We have come together as a team to request these items for our Pre-K to 5th graders. We work hard to meet every need of our scholars. Our fidgets will help us stay focused during academic task, healthy snacks to keep our bellies full and we also used those to teach math lessons. Our basic cleaning supplies will help with our younger scholars to keep them clean and our learning environment clean. We also need testing materials and electronics to help us with our test this year. We look forward to incorporating all of these supplies as we are actively engaged in learning.
