Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
For many years I have had a classroom aquarium which has been entertaining not only for my students but also for adults at school who have found out and come to visit, but with time most of our fish's items are worn out.
My students are special needs, and an aquarium is a great starting point to learn.
An aquarium offers them extensive visual stimulation, perfect for their cognitive development. They can learn about the behavior and characteristics of fish, as well as the importance of maintaining a healthy environment. The aquarium reduces stress and has a calming effect on people. They like observing their pets, feeding them, and even naming the fish. That is the reason why I am looking to give our tank an update.
