Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are in a very low income community. They have big hearts but may not get all the things they need. The group I have now are more girls than boys and they are very helpful. The first few weeks I have been getting to know them. I have already learned that I have children who have needy families. Some of my children come from split families where they may or may not see one or both parents. I am very lucky to be able to touch these kiddos lives.
My Project
All students need essential materials in order to be successful through out the course of the school year. We are in a big building and some of the things that purchased are not always the best quality when trying to stick to a school budget. I am trying to provide the most I can for my students to keep them engaged and ready to learn.
My goal is to limit the financial burden of my student's families to a minimum.
These materials will provide my students what they need in order to be successful through out the course of the school. The students that I teach come from very low income families and I want to provide for them everything that I can so school is not just another burden.
