This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every year, my students write a multigenre paper. This involves a lot of research and a lot of creativity. Students are asked to answer a research question they want to know more about, then writing a paper using as many genres and subgenres, each piece self-contained, adding up to a research argument, they package the product in a unique way. Students will use these supplies in many creative ways. Some examples:

2 years ago, a student submitted a paper on Barbie and packaged the presentation in a mini-Barbie closet with paper replicas, drawn by the student, of Barbie's clothes throughout the decade.

2. Another student, created a highly creative journal of what imagined to be Oppenheimer's thoughts.
