My Project

This is my first-year teaching sixth grade, and man oh man have I learned a lot! I didn’t realize how many supplies my students went through and what all we actually needed.

Time to finish the year strong!

Many of my students come from a low-income family and weren’t able to bring supplies for the year. I want to incorporate more hands-on activities, and with that they need dry erase markers, glue, and everyday needs supplies. We use dry erase markers and whiteboards every day to practice our math skills. We create interactive math journals, so we also use glue daily. These are the supplies that I ran out of the fastest! My 6th graders also have everyday supplies they need that I never thought about, they have asked for ponytails for their hair and safety pins for their clothes often. This would help my 75 students end the year with a bang and leave sixth grade with wonderful memories.
