My Students

I teach in an urban school in a very large school district. Each school in our city has its own budget based on many different factors. There are 1.1 million students in the district.

My students are classified as Gifted/Talented, by taking a city-wide exam and have varying intellectual abilities.

90% are of Asian Ethnicity, while the other 10% are of other ethnicities. Due to the sheer number of students, the maximum is 32, space becomes quite limited in the size of the classroom that I have.

My Project

Students are consistently running over to find supplies to be as successful as possible through both Reading/Writing workshop.

We are requesting felt tip markers and a utility cart which will have supplies in one central location for students to go to in order to be successful during their work time throughout their learning day.

Various paper choices, post-its, pencils, markers, colored pencils, staplers, paper clips, scissors, staples, and other necessary tools for students to be success can be stored on this moveable cart.

I can also be a more effective educator, by having the tools that I will need in order to contact conferences with students in a productive manner.
