My Project

My high school students are resilient, curious, and capable of achieving great things when they feel supported. What I love most about them is their willingness to keep trying, even when science concepts are challenging. Every student brings unique experiences, perspectives, and strengths into the classroom, and it is rewarding to watch their confidence grow as they begin to see themselves as successful learners. I strive to create a classroom where every student feels valued, encouraged, and excited to participate.

Donated classroom supplies such as binders, pencils, coloring pencils, and other everyday materials remove barriers to learning.

Many students arrive without the basic supplies they need to stay organized or fully participate in class. Having these resources readily available ensures that every student can focus on learning instead of worrying about whether they have a pencil or a place to keep their assignments. Organized students are better able to manage their coursework, complete assignments, and prepare for assessments, leading to greater academic success.

Treasure box rewards, including stickers, pencils, small school supplies, and other positive incentives, help create a classroom culture where effort and growth are celebrated. These rewards recognize students for demonstrating perseverance, responsibility, kindness, and academic improvement—not just high grades. Even simple rewards can motivate students to stay engaged, participate in class discussions, complete assignments, and take pride in their accomplishments. They reinforce positive behaviors while helping students build confidence and develop a love of learning.

Together, these donated supplies and rewards help create a welcoming, equitable classroom where every student has the tools they need to succeed. They allow me to spend less time addressing supply shortages and more time providing meaningful, hands-on science experiences that inspire curiosity and prepare students for future success.
