My Students

My students live in a highly-populated neighborhood in one of the largest school districts in the state. They are hard-working, brave, silly, and always wanting to explore and discover.

These kids may face challenges inside and outside the classroom, but they always come to school with a smile and love in their hearts.

As their teacher, I am someone who provides them with the knowledge and skills needed to grow in first grade and in life. I am also someone who loves and cares about them and strives to make sure they will grow up to be caring, loving, accepting humans. With your help, they can go even farther!

My Project

In my classroom, I'm a firm believer in exploration. Kids need time to explore different materials in different ways. Having hands-on building toys allows them to play and engage themselves in countless ways.

Help me give my incredible first grade students new STEM toys that will stimulate, inspire, and connect.

These kids are going through their third year of school in a pandemic and allowing them time outside of curriculum instruction to learn, play, and build is crucial.

These building materials will allow them to solve problems and use critical thinking. Osmo is an incredible coding game using AR that engages students and introduces them to the world of computer coding. Solving a marble maze takes patience, intuition, and collaboration. Connecting building pieces like K'Nex to create a building, a car, or wherever their imagination takes them. And of course a neat place to store the toys inside our classroom.
