Super Supplies for AP Psychology Labs and Activities!
My students need staplers, staples, dry erase boards, markers, batteries, computer speakers, supply baskets, swim caps, Play-Doh, gloves, and sheep brains to conduct hands-on learning experiences that will prepare them for their AP exam in May.
My students are a rainbow of cultural and socioeconomic diversity in a rich urban environment. They are both artistically and academically motivated in their learning as they attend an arts/performing arts high school in which they have specific majors of study in the arts. They are also college-oriented and so choose rigorous preparatory coursework such as College Board-level Advanced Placement classes. They also enjoy expressing their knowledge and their art through classroom discussions and debates, group work, and hands-on experiments and projects.
My Project
AP Psychology is a fun and fascinating subject to teach! I am constantly learning new content and techniques so that I can apply them to my classroom to make it more engaging. The materials in this project will all be used toward teaching the subject in more artistic ways as well as creating activities for students to explore the topics in psychology in more depth.
Students truly grasp the scientific concepts in psychology with hands-on materials and laboratory experiences.
From Play-Doh neurons & swim cap brain diagrams to sheep brain dissections, students will not only be able to understand the terms and concepts in AP Psychology more to prepare them for their College Board exam in May, but they will also obtain a new understanding and deeper appreciation of themselves. My students need staplers, staples, dry erase boards, markers, batteries, computer speakers, supply baskets, swim caps, Play-Doh, gloves, and sheep brains!
