My Project
I love my first graders. This year I have several multi lingual students who don't have the understanding of the english language to communicate. This presents a challenge for these young kids. One of my students speaks Mongolian and several others speak Spanish.
In order to make that communication process easier, I'd love to give these students hands-on materials with which they can draw pictures to communicate with me.
In addition, the clipboards will provide accommodations for these kiddos while they're walking around the room doing group projects or partner work. This will enable them to communicate with their peers by drawing pictures on the paper clipped to their boards.
We can truly have success with these students by giving them the tools in their hands to communicate their questions and their answers with our class.
