This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to read, especially books that have their favorite characters or superheroes. Unfortunately, some of the students don't have easy access to books in the summer. Our school is one where the majority of students are on free or reduced lunch.

Fun characters and superheroes make reading more fun.

The more the students recognize the titles and the characters, the more likely they are to pick up the book over the summer and prevent the typical summer slide. The books in this project will be given to students to have and read over and over again during the summer.
