Super Second Grade Learners!

Help me give my students all of the materials we need to help them grow! LEGOs encourage problem solving and higher level thinking skills, while basic supplies allow our students to have what they need!

My Students

My students are an amazing group of children! They love to come to school and learn. Unfortunately, this group has been hit hardest with the covid pandemic - when this group of students was in Kindergarten, their year was cut short and they were sent distance learning. Last year, when they were in first grade - many of the students were home school and/or learning remotely as a result of quarantine requirements. As a result, many of my students are lower academically and need extra help with foundational skills. We are working hard to closing the academic gap, and any help is appreciated!

My Project

These materials have a specific need in our classroom. Legos enourage STEAM and STEM learning. This type of hands on learning encourages teamwork, higher level thinking skills, and complex problem solving. For so long, our students have not been able to work together to build and create things, such as Lego projects because of Covid. We are now in a place to slowly let them work together on projects and tasks, and my class could not be any more excited!

Supplies help keep the students in my classroom prepared with everything they need to learn and be successful.

Colored pencils, markers, and composition notebooks are some of the things that we use the most in our classroom, often needing replenishments multiple times throughout the school year.

Thank you so much for your contribution, and helping my students meet their academic and emotional growth goals!
