This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our Prek-5th grade students represent a diverse population of students who love learning. These years are critical to building a love of learning. Our school provides a multi-sensory approach to learning which leads to true engagement among students. Our school mission is to do whatever it takes to meet the needs of our students so they experience success, safety, fun and enjoyment, freedom and independence, valued purpose, and love and belonging.

My Project

As part of our kindergarten and first grade science standards, students learn about magnets and rocks. Students love these two topics and I would like to provide them enough materials to conduct labs around these topics.

This project would provide students the hands on materials for meaningful science labs around these topics.

By having these materials, students will be able to work in pairs for each lab experiment. This will help students learn the content in a meaningful way while going through the scientific process. These materials are not consumable so students will be able to use them each year with students.
