This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 31 students are very bright and love to learn. I want to make my classroom the most enriching learning environment I can. By providing my students with the materials to conduct hands-on learning, we are providing them with endless possibilities.

My favorite part about my students is their diversity.

They come from a very diverse range of home structures with single parent families, multiple-family homes, and foster, migrant, and military families. They also come from many different cultures. We are a Title I school with the majority of our students receiving free/reduced-price breakfast and lunch.

It is important for me to meet the needs of all of my students in a safe and engaging environment.

My Project

We currently have a new science curriculum that does not work well with distance learning. We are supplementing with online science resources but would love to give my students something more tangible. Scholastic Super Science magazines will get my students excited about science.

SuperScience brings real-world excitement to your science lessons!

The science magazine has kid-friendly science stories, interactive and hands-on activities, videos, and games. These magazines will motivate them to think like scientists and engineers. Another plus is that SuperScience supports the three dimensions of the Next Generation Science Standards.
