My Students

Welcome to my wonderful world of learners. My second-grade kiddos love to learn and grow together, and I love working and watching them grow. I work with 3 classes of second graders, rotating thru my classroom on a daily basis.

In my inner-city classroom, we work daily at becoming a community of learners and caregivers.

We try every day to use a growth mindset to learn and we work to reach our goals. When we don’t make it, we keep on trying!

My Project

My students love to read, but they don't have science and social studies reading materials. They need to read materials at their reading level that are exciting and interesting that focus on science and social studies.

By getting Scholastic Science Spin, and Time for Kids, our second graders will have weekly issues to read, learn and enjoy from.

These magazines help ignite the spark for the love of reading. The magazines connect directly to our curriculum and real life events in their lives. I can remember how excited I was when we got our weekly magazines in school. Won't you help me share that excitement for my students??
