This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a low-income, high-mobility school that is Title I. This means all of our children receive free breakfast and lunch during the school day. We have a diverse population and serve children and families from many different cultures.

The students at our school are sweet and crave positive interactions and for someone to show a genuine interest in them.

They are eager to learn new things and love to share what they have learned with others. These students need positive role models in their lives to introduce them to the wonders of the world around them.

My Project

This classroom project will be used to engage and help support my students' cognitive, social, and sensory development. With this innovative tool in the classroom, I can transform a regular sand table into a hands-on learning adventure! Using The Augmented Sand Table Reality technology they can discover and use see the realistic colors and life-like images that are projected onto the sand for a mesmerizing sensory experience. My little learners will be able to study geography, topography, seasons, animal habitats, and more as they create new worlds and explore interactive environments.
