Super Safari Seating for Succeeding

My students need the wobble and soft cushions for carpet time. The wobble chairs and balance balls will complete the seats around the writing tables, and the two floor seats will complete my technology center.

My Students

Our amazing school has a diverse group of students from various socioeconomic backgrounds and many different ethnic groups. Even though my children and families face many difficulties, it is my goal to help my children grow from where they are when they enter my classroom and rise to their full potential.

I foster learning by creating a loving, safe environment filled with positive choices.

I teach the love of learning coupled with high expectations. Creating an environment that gives my students many opportunities daily to make positive choices that help them feel like they have control of their learning gives me great joy.

My Project

I have been creating a new environment for learning in my classroom using flexible seating based on some great research. Learning is more fun, and children are excited to come to school. Thanks to DonorsChoose, I have several amazing, new seats in my classroom that are fostering better focusing, and are giving my children the power of choice.

In order to complete the flexible seating arrangement for all the children in my classroom, a few more chairs are needed.

The floor Soft Seats and the Wobble Cushions will be great for carpet time or for children who like to kneel at tables. I spend part of the day teaching on the carpet, and the cushions will help children with the wiggles. The Wobble Chairs and Balance Balls are great for children working at the table with me or on their own. They are able to concentrate better because they can move while working. The two Comfy Floor seats will complete my technology table. At this table, children are able to do enrichment and reinforcement from previously taught lessons on iPads.
