My Project

We are thrilled to present this proposal to create a shaded oasis for gifted learners at our newly designated campus, which was formerly a middle school. As we transform this space to cater to gifted students in grades first through eighth, we recognize the importance of providing shaded areas in the hot Texas sun. Our project aims to enhance the outdoor space of our newly designated campus by providing a round picnic table, large outdoor umbrella, and umbrella stand.

This grant will not only create a designated playground for the first time in our school's ten-year history, but also offer shaded spots for learning, socializing, and collaboration.

Shaded Learning: Provide students with a comfortable outdoor space where they can engage in learning activities without being exposed to the harsh Texas sun.

Multi-Use Spaces: Create versatile areas that can be used for learning, recess, reward times, and club activities, promoting a sense of community and collaboration among students.

Promote Well-being: Enhance student well-being by offering a shaded retreat during hot summer recesses, allowing students to rest and rehydrate comfortably.

Round Picnic Table: The table will provide seating for up to eight students, offering a designated spot for outdoor learning, collaboration, and socialization.

Large Outdoor Umbrella: The umbrella will offer much-needed shade, protecting students from the intense Texas sun during recess and other outdoor activities.

Umbrella Stand: The stand will ensure the stability and safety of the umbrella, allowing for worry-free use in outdoor settings.

With your support, we can provide students with a comfortable and versatile space for learning, socializing, and collaboration, while also addressing the need for shaded areas in the hot Texas sun.
