My Students

I work at an amazing school. Our community is close-knit, and many, like myself, grew up in our town. My students represent all different backgrounds, socioeconomic status, and ethnicities. The staff works hard to provide meaningful instruction and memories that will last a lifetime.

I want all of my students to love coming to school each and every day!

I strive to create an engaging environment by presenting them with exciting lessons and giving them a comfortable space to learn.

My Project

Each year, a list of books are published called the Sunshine State Young Readers Award. This list is filled with diverse books that would interest any student. These books are selected by librarians around Florida to encourage young people to read.

Sunshine State books should be accessible to all students.

Having these books available in my classroom to my kiddos all year long will allow them to have access without having to wait for them to return to the library. These books will continue to encourage students to love reading.
