I'd like to update my classroom to include more flexible seating options for my students. This year, I began transforming my classroom to include more options for them, and I have found that the focus becomes more on instruction and less on the social interaction. When kids have choices, they learn to take ownership of their learning. Lap desks, stools, and raising table will allow students to stand while working or find a comfortable space on the floor to spread out. A futon would bring a cozy space to my classroom. In addition, having an updated classroom library will put the most current books in the hands of my students. I would love to give my classroom an upgrade so that my students always have the best opportunities to learn, and have a space where they are excited about coming to.
