This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need engaging and accessible books to keep up with their reading progress this summer. They also need fun accessories like bubbles and sunglasses to encourage outdoor play during the summer months! Often times summer break can cause a "summer slide" where reading levels go down without the everyday practice students get during the school day. My students have been working so hard this year and have been making great growth in reading and writing. New books that students can take home with them over the summer will encourage them to continue practicing their reading and hopefully spark a love of reading as well!
