Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are eager to learn. They love Reading and Math and they have worked hard all year. As the school year ends, I worry if everything I have taught them will carry over to the next school year. It would be so disappointing if they lost some of their knowledge over the summer.

With your help, I can give my first graders workbooks, a book and some supplies to help reduce "summer loss" and continue to help them learn over the summer.

Students will be able to use the resources to practice skills learned during the school year and learn new skills that will help them in the next grade.
