Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first graders have worked incredibly hard this school year to build a strong foundation in reading, writing and mathematics. With summer quickly approaching, I would like to try to prevent the "Summer Slide" that tends to happen without the daily practice that takes place at school. My hope is that each student comes back to start second grade where they left me in first grade.

The purchase of these materials will allow me to send home essential supplies with each of my students in order for them to continue learning throughout the summer.

Each child will receive a pencil box with the necessary learning tools- pencils, glue sticks, marker and crayons as well as a notebook and folder so that they can continue to be writers and mathematicians at home. My students LOVE learning, but many of them do not have the resources at home to support their learning. These materials will foster my students' love for learning as they continue on their educational journey.
