Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This is my second year in 1st grade at a Title I school. We have students from many different backgrounds, which makes our school a culturally-rich environment.

Our students also face specific challenges related to socioeconomic situations that are out of their control.

It's never too early to think about the end of school; the school year goes by so quickly. Being able to provide them with a bucket of treats would ensure they have a little fun at the end of this year and I know my students truly appreciate every little thing. I want to reward them for their hard work in first grade this year, with fun toys, snacks and their own book to take home.
