I want my students to stay busy and keep learning this summer! They have been actively involved in the learning process all year. I want them to keep using what they've learned throughout the summer.
The materials for this project will encourage my students to apply what they have learned in Kindergarten, be creative, and to get outside and explore!
They will continue to build their STEAMA (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, & Agriculture) skills by designing & building a sandcastle, collecting/sorting/counting shells or leaves, or investigating capacity with their shovel and pail. They can use sidewalk chalk for artistic masterpieces or to practice writing words or sentences. A ball and play-doh will provide lots of gross motor practice during play time with family and friends outside with their sunglasses and popsicles. Bubbles will help them with creative and imaginative play while they spend time outside! Lastly, they can take their books with them to read all Summer long!
My students learn in motion. These materials will spark their interest, encourage action, and help reinforce what they've learned in Kindergarten.
