Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

It has been a challenging year for our families. As teachers, we rely on families to get their preschoolers into our classroom and work with us to establish a strong foundation in their early learning. We would like to celebrate their commitment to learning by rewarding continued participation over the summer.

Providing leveled readers and workbooks for the students over the summer can help them maintain and improve skills before entering Kindergarten in the fall.

Participating families will also receive a bottle of laundry detergent, meeting one of the basic needs our families have. In years past we have had the opportunity to gift these items to students and their families with the help of donors like you. They were received with much appreciation, and we would like to continue to provide such materials to our families as a way to help support and thank them for participating in their child's Pre-K education.
