My Students

My kindergarteners are truly inspiring. I wake up every day wondering what they will teach. I learn something new from them every day. I've learned to be more passionate in my work. I've learned to be crazy because they sure do love it when I act crazy.

They are a group of students that you can only hope for and I am so grateful for each and everyone of them.

They are caring, kind, and accepting of each other. They are helpful to each other and they stick up for one another. I have never seen a group of students more willing to include and make sure everyone is apart of the group. As a teacher, they truly make me appreciate and understand why I chose this career.

My Project

These materials will help my students become more organized with the boxes. It usually takes kindergarteners about 5 minutes just to clean and put away everything from their stations. The new clear organizational boxes will help kindergartens clean up faster and it will hold all of the materials for that station. The other materials will be used for those individual stations. Kindergartens are often using glue. Not only do they go through it very quickly but often students forget to put the lids on the glue or they use too much. Having extra glue sticks on hand will ensure that we can get to all of our glue activities. We are constantly using white boards in class. Students love to use the white boards. I have found it keeps them engaged and it's a great way to check for student understanding. The white boards and markers will come in handy when we are doing small groups, whole group, and one-on-one.
