This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am looking for everyday supplies to help my students walk into sixth grade feeling prepared and successful for the start of their last year in elementary school. The goals of this project are to ensure equity by helping to provide students with the supplies they will use on an everyday basis.

We have an incredibly diverse student population and I aim to have each student walk enter my classroom on a level playing field in regards to supplies.

The items for the project are essential in a productive classroom, and unfortunately many students do not come to school prepared. I want to be a safe space for them, where they know that they have what they need.
