This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students recently had sublimation bottles funded, and they need the ink to print their student-made designs on their bottles and other art projects. The sublimation printer machine only works with one type of ink, and we are seeking your help to fund this. Most of my students leading this project are females and are underrepresented in the STEM. These group collaborative experiences will help foster positive collaborative discussions as well as build a sense of community in the classroom.
These bottles will not only increase the sense of community and friendship in the classroom but also provide my students with a change of environmentally friendly through another option as well as highlight students' cultures and identity.
When students design their own bottles collaboratively, they will have a greater sense of pride in their school and also work on problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Students will reduce the amount of plastic bottles used. Student will also design some bottles to share with people in their community who are in need.
