My Students

My students are a wonderful group of diverse learners. They are quite varied in socioeconomic needs and backgrounds. There is a large group of English language learners in my class. More than half of the students are in the free or reduced cost lunch program at our Title I school. Many students receive free weekend sack lunches.

Despite some of the obstacles my students face, they are eager to learn and love to please.

The students are a hard-working bunch of children. Every day, I am thankful to have such a wonderful class.

My Project

This year our students are working hard to catch up on all the time we missed together in the classroom. The students are learning how to stay organized with their studies and they are learning how to be successful in completing their homework.

These binders will not only help them transport their work successfully to and from school, but they are also an important tool for parent/teacher communication.

These binders are used to record the daily homework, they allow families to sign-off on seeing the assigned work, and also allows for a place to leave notes for the teacher. They are in important tool to help foster academic independence and success!
