Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are just the right amount of spunk and sweetness. Some are above grade level in math and reading, but many struggle. We have a high Hispanic population. My students would benefit from headphones to reduce distractions and improve focus on the computer tasks.

I am thankful to have this wonderful class.

We have Chromebooks for each grade level, but no headphones to watch academic videos. We like to listen to music and the volume works. We are just missing one last thing in our classroom...

My Project

The websites that teach concepts or have games based on performance are loud and necessary to do the job. With 23 students at once, the noise distracts everyone from learning on their own. The school has one computer lab for the elementary that has headphones. There are not enough extra headphones for one class, much less all the classes that need them.

The 4th grade shares a cart of 30 chromebooks.

We have chosen days to use the cart. It would be best if the basket of headphones stayed with our cart. This way, all 3 classes could benefit from one request.
