My Project

Every year as a band director, I have done some type of recording project with my students. The students put a lot of work into these recording projects, and they love when they get to see their efforts become a permanent and shareable product rather than just a live performance that happens and lives in the past forever.

As much as they enjoy the project, the end product is never quite as good as it could be, and a big part of that is access to quality recording equipment.

Using a phone or a camera with a plug in mic doesn't quite capture the sound of the band, and some students are always confused as to why they can't be heard in the recording mix. New, quality microphones and the equipment needed to use these microphones will make these recording projects show the exceptional growth my students have achieved over this past year.
