My Project

The positive effects of teaching second graders how to sort their trash into categories of trash, compost, and recycle is tremendous. Initially, there might be a learning curve for students, but over time, the students' awareness and habit of proper waste disposal improve. As a result, over time, there is a noticeable decrease in mixed waste, leading to a reduction in environmental impact. The introduction of dedicated trash cans for each category across the campus further accelerates this positive trend. The cumulative effect showcases a more environmentally conscious and responsible second-grade community, contributing to a cleaner and greener school environment.
