Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have transitioned from classroom learning to remote learning pretty well considering how many challenges we've encountered. Many don't have a lot of resources such as books, art supplies, or pencils, and they may not have the technology they need to access remote learning activities.

My Project

When I asked my students what kinds of supplies they want or need at home, they didn't ask for the moon. All they want are supplies that most people take for granted. My students asked for basic school supplies such as watercolors, paper, markers, pencils, colored pencils and books!

My students would appreciate the opportunity to draw and write to express their feelings.

They are super excited to have this opportunity to ask for the materials they need to support their learning at home. It's been good to see how well they are continuing to learn while stuck at home.
