Students Reflect on Their Work Through Technology Use
My students need camera accessories in order to proceed with a project in which they will learn to use a digital camera to document their work and presentations.
Times are changing! Students need to keep up with the technological changes happening every day. It is the goal that the students will learn to use our recently received camera to photograph and video tape their work in order to reflect on their learning.
My students are eager to learn and they have a passion for technology.
This class of eighteen 3rd graders is from a small school of about 115 students with grades ranging from kindergarten to 6th grade. My students are respectful, thoughtful and always willing to help others. They enjoy sharing their completed work with others and are always excited to try new things.
My Project
I am requesting camera accessories, including a tripod, a camera case and memory cards, so that the students may use our new camera to photograph and videotape their work. By doing this, they are able to learn how to use modern technology as well as use the outcome of the technology to reflect on their work, noting their achievements as well as helping to set future goals to improve their work.
It is so important for children to reflect on their work, so that they will see and celebrate their accomplishments as well as set future goals.
It is also crucial for children to have knowledge of current technology. What better way to address these two essentials for students than to combine the two and make the reflection of work motivating and educational at the same time. This project will surely excite the children to present their work and take time to think about their success.
