Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students because they push me to reinvent the way I do things. My students have diverse backgrounds, and I love to get to know all of their stories and embrace the awesome kids they are! I teach in an area where approximately two-thirds of the students are at an economic disadvantage, but they don't let that define them.

My students are so excited to earn rewards in class and are intrigued by 3D printing

I have implemented a classroom economy where students can earn classroom currency to buy 3D prints. I have many things available, from small key chains and fidget toys to large models of popular cartoons and super heroes. Since I have started the classroom economy my students have been putting in extra effort to getting their studies done because they see the rewards awaiting their hard earned currency. I need more filament so that I can continue printing items for them to earn.
