My Students

My students are a group of 18 active and eager 2nd graders. They are in need of a safer, more organized learning environment. In order for this to happen we are asking for help to purchase their own individual areas to have their own space at school. Some of the students in the class have never had their own space at home, and I want to have a place in their classroom that is their very own. Their own place to call SCHOOL!

My Project

I am lucky enough to teach at a school that is rich in history, in a building that recently celebrated 100 years. The building is full of character but lacks storage! Especially for student supplies and backpacks. The students need their own space. Last year we struggled daily with a place to store backpacks and lunchboxes. Students would trip over the backpacks we had to hang on their seats and it made it difficult to have movement in the classroom. Movement, especially in the lower elementary grades is essential.

This purchase of coat lockers would help us actively learn and create more space!
