Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am very fortunate to be the art teacher in a very diverse school, where over thirty native languages are represented. I welcome the diversity as well as the rich mixture of my students in my classroom. I see over two-hundred 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students a year.
They love exploring everything from portraits and still life, to sculpture and painting.
Their creativity is limitless, and I love being able to give them the tools to be problem solvers, hone their technical skills and provide multiple creative opportunities to grow as artists and students.
My Project
My students are artists. They work hard each and every day in art class, and are excited to sketch out their ideas, and create.
We need 2B drawing pencils to sketch with and feel like real artists.
They need good quality pencils to help them do their class work. I am requesting 2B General pencils for my class. These pencils are great quality, sharpen very easily are excellent for drawing, shading, and don't break when we use them. They will last us a long time. Regular yellow pencils are not as versatile specifically for art class. Please consider helping us and my students and I will be forever thankful!
