Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second graders have been working hard to earn Guerrero Bucks throughout the school year. They get these bucks when they are kind, respectful, responsible, and safe in school. They save this pretend money until they learn about Goods and Services in their Social Studies economy unit. At the end of the unit, they will decide how much each item will cost and what job each student will have as they run the store.

The pencils, fidgets, snacks and toys will become rewards for a year of successful and positive learning.

Students will create a shopping list and add up the money they have earned to make sure they can pay for the items they have chosen.
