Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is my second year as a teacher, I teach Dual Language as well as Spanish as a second language. Since the start of the school year, I have tried to always have snack and small bags of chips in my room since everyday students have second lunch, which is after 1pm and students get hungry. My goal for this project is to have more things available for the students, some of this students eating at school might be their biggest meal or having that candy might be the only treat they get. I enjoy buying all this snack and extra things for my classroom, but it can get very expensive since I do have a lot of students. Also, I want to make the learning more fun where all the students are participating and collaborating with each other, and for that, I need more resources that they can interact with each other. My students are very special to me, I want to give them a safe, warm and learning environment where they can get to be themselves, learn, make friends and have fun.
