My students need these two books, Sybil and Girl, Interrupted, to continue to prepare for the AP Psychology exam. Students also need the pens and pencils to be prepared to work.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students enter the classroom and start working immediately because they are used to my routines and they work rigorously throughout the entire class period. They have worked extremely hard to become eligible for Psychology and AP Psychology. At the end of the year, I want my students to not only pass the AP Exam, but have a new found passion for psychology and possibly even go to college to major in the subject area.
There are 21 students currently in AP Psychology, and 28 in Introduction to Psychology, and these students work tirelessly day in and day out to ensure that they have an understanding of the content area.
I am very passionate when it comes to Psychology since I have a degree in it, and it is a true blessing to see my students share that same drive and passion.
My Project
These materials will be used by my AP Psychology students. They will use the ink to print out and display their assignments around the room, and the pens and pencils are to have in case students are not prepared. The most important items however are the two books, Sybil and Girl, Interrupted. These books will provide students with an insight into the mentally ill and the treatment of abnormal psychology, and these students will use this knowledge on the AP Psychology exam. This project will support students in studying and will provide them with information that they can use in college.
