Help me give my students high quality headphones to help them stay focused during their computer learning time.
My Students
I teach first grade in a small urban school. My students are enthusiastic balls of energy! We are part of a learning community that values participation and hard work. Our school is culturally and linguistically diverse and receives title one funds.
We are a high performing school, usually meeting or exceeding the state averages on state testing.
We have a great school climate where students feel safe and loved. Despite many challenges in our students' lives, they come to school every day excited to be here!
This year has been especially tough to get back into the classroom. For some students this is their first experience physically being in the classroom. They are working hard at learning new procedures. It has also been tough because I sent so many materials home last year while students were attending virtually. I am now working on building up the materials I need again in the classroom.
My Project
My students need high quality headphones that will enable them to hear the computer teaching them and also block out the noise of their classmates engaging in reading lessons. My students use an online learning platform as part of their instruction. The time that students are on the computer is also the time that I am working with small groups. I have bought cheaper pairs before and they either didn't work effectively, were uncomfortable to wear, or they broke easily.
Help me give the students the materials they need to succeed!
They will use them everyday and with good quality materials, the students will be able to focus and be able to learn comfortably.
