Having double copies has allowed for partner reading and shared success. This variety of books has turned what can sometimes be a frustrating task into a fun and collaborative experience. \r\n\r\nWe primarily use our High Noon Readers for decoding practice and mastering long vowel patterns. In our room, reading can now be a mix of focused skill word and genuine excitement and engagement.\r\n\r\nOur 4th grade group is especially hooked- they ask to grab these books before we've finished our skill lesson for the day and a few have brought them home to finish!\r\n\r\nMy biggest win so far is a student who brought a High Noon Reader home for the weekend. On Monday he returned beaming, announcing his first finished book this school year. That shift from pretend reading to pride demonstrates exactly why these texts are so important to us!\r\n\r\nDonors - you made this happen for us and we are so grateful!
