My Students

My students are caring, open-minded learners. They are hard workers who persevere, even when things are difficult.

My students are creative and enjoy hands-on reading activities.

They enjoy learning about different cultures, as our class has many languages and backgrounds represented.

This year, we have laughed and cried together. We emphasize choosing kindness in our classroom and building each other up.

I look forward to seeing the students each day and being the positive influence in their lives. I aspire to be the bright spot in their day.

My Project

Students will use the Scholastic StoryWorks subscription to engage in high-interest, authentic texts. Scholastic makes high quality materials that supplement our curriculum.

StoryWorks will provide grade-appropriate texts that are interesting for the students to read.

I use the chart paper to create anchor charts for student reference. Students in my class are independent problem-solvers that use all of the resources available to them.

Students will also use the chart paper to create their own learning resources. In collaborative groups, students work to complete rigorous tasks daily. Chart paper will help them to respond to their learning and share their thoughts with the class.
