My Project

The majority of my students are English language learners.

These materials will not only help them to use their reading skills, they are high interest materials that will help the students develop background knowledge.

The magazines will help them to read about interesting, current topics at their grade level. The digital component brings the materials to life in the classroom and has interactive activities. The students will be using these materials during many of the curricular areas - reading, writing, social studies and science. My students love the colorful pictures and interesting topics.

Students will use the reading activities and the other materials during student choice time. The students are able to work individually, with a partner, or in a small group to improve foundational skills.
